Another Great Sunrider Convention!

Dear Sunrider Leaders,

A Great Convention

We have just returned from another great Sunrider convention. Many IBOs question whether they should come to the annual convention ... is it worth the time and money? The answer is a definite yes. I have only missed one convention due to my accident last year. And I could tell a difference. There is just nothing like taking the opportunity to be there, hear the Chen's, listen to the leaders, and talk with hundreds of excited IBOs. It just makes a difference.

During one of the sessions I took a break for a Calli moment and bumped into a fellow I'd briefly met the day before at lunch. As we chatted I asked him how long he had been in Sunrider? Six months. I asked him what he thought of the convention. He replied it was so exciting it gave him goose bumps.

It reminded me again that we all need to look at the convention through the eyes of our new IBOs that are attending ... and the consensus definitely was, "dynamite!" Don't miss next year's convention which will again be in Anaheim, CA.

Oh yes, he also said that he had just completed my auto responder training series. I asked what he thought of it, was it logical, did it make sense, and was it worth it? He replied that indeed it simplified understanding the starting of his business and was well worth going through. Make use of this tool for all your new IBOs. Start the series by going to http://www.jlgnet.com/.

Another First

During the Group Business Leader Training, Don Caster and I were wondering up the aisle when two Chinese women came up, one on each side to get a picture. As they prepared for the picture, Don leaned over and said, "Paul, it's kind of surprising when they put their hand on your rear end." Just then a dainty Chinese hand landed on my derrière. I couldn't tell who was more surprised, me due to the hand landing there, or the Chinese woman who found out that since my accident there wasn't much there to grab.

Regardless, in this business one must be prepared for ... well ... anything. Today I had a conversation with an IBO that had approached someone they met coming home from the convention. I could tell there was a struggle as to what to say when contacting the person next, as though there is this perfect script they have to come up with. You will find far more success if you approach and follow up by being yourself.

Convention Summary

This convention's main purpose was to drive home a simple system for building your business ... mainly how to approach new people, but a lot of follow up information as well. All the information shared at the convention is available on CD from the company. Order a copy today! The company is pushing for a unified method and are introducing such terms as franchise-like, distribution channel, and other terms that make explaining Sunrider really quite easy. Get the CD, study it, and make these terms your own.

Sunrider will shortly unveil a new looking website, with more promotional materials on line where you can simply download and print what you need. If you have a good color printer (which are cheap these days, I bought a HP color laser for $199 that puts out killer colors) you can print your own materials or refer your prospects to on-line literature ... or ... have a stack of printed booklets on hand. I am doing both. Get your business card. Use it!

We want to thank the enormous effort Wendy Tang has put into getting all the promotional materials ready for the convention. Wendy and her staff did a great job.

Dr. Chen also had us sample a new drink that is similar to Fortune Delight except it is far more concentrated, comes in vials like Evergreen and is targeted to compete with the specialty water markets. It tastes great and here is what Debra Clydesdale said after she had only one ...

I just wanted to let you know that I took the new "no name" product that Dr. Chen gave us a sample of today at lunch and I had the best energy boost that I have had in my life. I have been under a lot of stress lately with my father diagnosed with pancreatic cancer stage IV and the product gave me energy and a sense of lightness I haven't felt in a long time. I can't wait till it is introduced!!!!!!!!

For those curious, the general TIF fund ran in the $3300-3800 range, well worth working for. There are some adjustments to the TIF qualification next year so be sure to study them when they are announced.

The food was great, the entertainment was really grand Saturday night with our own Sharyn Wynters singing a beautiful song for the entire group. She has a beautiful voice and we are grateful she is willing to share her talent with us.

In closing, if you missed the convention this year, commit not to miss the next one. If you are serious about your Sunrider business, you need to come and join us for a week of increasing your skills, laughing, talking, eating, and enjoying. You go home regenerated and ready to make the next year even greater.

Sincerely,

Paul Jensen
