Cruise & TIF Qualification

Dear Sunrider Leaders,

Sorry for the longer email but I had a lot of critical information to get out ...

Business Update

The October Business Update is now on the web. Click on the hyperlink to read this important update and please share this with your team members.

2009 Convention Information

You can review all the information about the May 2010 Sunrider Cruise by going to the following website. http://www.seacruises.com/group_sites/sr10/flash.shtml

Here are some tips when planning to attend this convention:

When you calculate the costs of this trip, make sure you include all the costs associated in going. There are several costs associated with a cruise so make sure you include them all. They are all listed on the prices section.
• Flight to Rome
• Transfer costs $100/person
• Pre-cruise tour of Rome (cost not yet posted)
• Cruise cost which depends on the room you choose
• Tips $60/person
• Tours during the cruise. You can go on up to 8 tours. The costs have not yet been posted, but traditionally tours cost from $60-150/person depending on the activity.
Obviously if you need to reduce the cost of the trip then the pre-cruise tour and tours during the trip are optional. However, having been to most of these locations I can say that you don’t want to miss visiting these famous landmarks, so focus on how can I increase my business to have a really first class trip

We are frequently asked how much you can depend on getting from the TIF. Until you get the TIF check you can’t know. However, at the last convention the average check was about $1000-1500 due to points earned with some going much higher if there was a lot of sponsoring and rank advancement going on. That was based on a 6 month period, this cruise TIF will be based on a full year. Also on more expensive tours we tend to have less people attend due to financial considerations. So a rough estimate would be doubling last year’s average ($2000-3000) and then add some for a higher point value … so give it your best guess. This should give you a general idea on how much to set as a goal to make in addition to the TIF to cover your cruise cost.

This kind of trip is designed to reward us for stretching ourselves and making substantial gains in our business. Sometimes the initial response to these announcements is that it is too long, too far, too expensive, too whatever. But in the end these trips have always turned out fantastic.

I remember our first trip to China in 1995 … what a trip. Unfortunately due to my accident in 2007 I missed the 2007 China trip and the 2008 Hawaii trip, which I heard a lot of rave reviews about … with the exception of a few cases of food poisoning in China.

Everyone who made it a passionate goal to make it to these events felt like it was well worth the effort. Now is the time to decide to go on next years cruise. Determine to increase your business so that between the TIF and your increased earnings you can pay for it.

TIF Qualifications

As I have talked with many leaders I realize that some are not totally clear on the current TIF qualifications. Here are the points some are still fuzzy on …

• Simply buying a gift pack does not qualify as a sponsor this year.
• Sponsoring 4 VIP Customers per two month period by having the new VIP Customer buy $200 of random products does not qualify as TIF sponsor. (However, it does qualify for other bonus.)
• What a qualified sponsor is if you sponsor 4 VIP Customers per two month period who buy any of the seven GIFT PACKS.
• Also they just recently shortened the qualification period to10 months which should open the door to more Business Leaders.

This is going to be one memorable trip! You need to understand all the qualifications. There are other qualifications as well that you need to make sure you understand … which you can do by reviewing the following information found in the Operations Update for October 2009.

Sincerely,

Paul Jensen

Sunrider Convention – 2010

Next year’s convention aboard a cruise ship has created a lot of excitement because of potential ports-of-call and European experience. The exact details of the trips will be announced once the contract is signed with the cruise ship. However, as the trip will likely to be during the previously announced 12- month qualification period (June’09 – May’10), we will shorten the qualification period as follows:

The new qualification period will be 10 months, from June’09 – March’10

To earn Travel Incentive Fund (TIF), during the qualification period, an IBO must

• Qualify as a Business Leader or above, and
• Sponsor 4 New VIP Customers with Gift Sets every two months

Awards:

1. Qualify 8 or more months out of 10, earn 100% TIF
2. Qualify the last 6 consecutive months (October – March), earn 50% of the TIF.

As you can see from (2) above, an IBO can get partial TIF by qualifying as a Business Leader from October to March and sponsoring 4 VIP Customers every two months during this period.

Like all Sunrider events this cruise will go down as a travel highlight in your life. So set your goal to get the TIF and earn whatever it takes to get on this cruise!
