For 25 years this has been and is a favorite product in our house. We add it to everything. We are often asked, "How many drops do you use?" I often will jokingly say, my wife uses one drop ... but it's 6 inches long. So I guess the answer is to do it to your taste!
Add drops as desired to supplement food or drink.
The Drug Digest has an excellent article on Stevia, the main ingredient in Sunny Dew and Sunnectar. It is interesting to note that Dr. Chen and Sunrider were responsible for doing the research and investment to get Stevia cleared with the FDA as a dietary supplement. http://www.drugdigest.org/DD/DVH/HerbsWho/0,3923,552027%7CStevia,00.html Also in an article by Dr. Joseph Mercola MD on his website www.mercola.com where he talks about the downside of artifical sweetners, he talks briefly about stevia, where he says: "Unlike aspartame and other artificial sweeteners that have been cited for dangerous toxicities, stevia is a natural alternative that's ideal for diabetics, those watching their weight and anyone interested in maintaining their health by avoiding sugar. Stevia can be used in appetizers, beverages, soups, salads, vegetables, desserts -- virtually anything! It is, hands down, the best alternative to sugar you will ever taste." http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2005/01/12/rumsfeld-aspartame.aspx |
