Replacement for Coffee and Regular Tea
Catechins are naturally-occurring polyphenol chemicals found in Camellia sinensis, the primary ingredient in Calli (and Fortune Delight). These antioxidants have been shown to be effective in absorbing damaging free radicals. While many of the undesirable elements we take into our body are quickly eliminated, others are not. Combined with a healthy meal and exercise program, the unique herbal extracts in Calli assist in the body's natural cleansing processes. Calli comes in three great flavors Regular, Mint & Cinnamon
Calli is a staple in our home. Recently we messed up on our ordering and ended up without Calli in the house for three days ... and our teen-age children were more out of sorts than if I'd grounded them for the week-end. Our children seldom drink soda pop or other fad drinks and find their greatest pleasure in a constant intake of Calli. For our family we fix Calli in a 4 gallon urn with three bags of Calli ... and it is comsumed so fast it won't last the day. We just throw the bags in and leave them, no problem, but it does strengthen the taste. The more you drink Calli the more you will come to look forward to having this soothing beverage every day.
Simply, steep one Calli bag in 16oz or more of hot water for 5-10 minutes. Here are some tips we have learned over the years:
Columbia University Health Services has a "Go ask Alice" column where Alice goes into some detail as to why antioxidents are so important to our overall health. http://www.goaskalice.columbia.edu/0830.html Richard referred me to an article on the web from the National Cancer Institute talking about the beneficial properties of drinking tea ... and we know that Calli and Fortune Delight are far better than the traditional green tea that is often referred to in these articles. So this article reminds us why we should drink Calli and Fortune daily. http://getresponse.net/t/10921336/477243/204104275/2/ For an understanding of tea catechins you can review the following article, which is a little technical, but shows how important they are to our overall health. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catechin
