Dear Sunrider Leaders Let's go back to the ranch. On day #2 the kids and I went back to where they dropped their cows off the day before (when they were lost) ... and basically we started over at the same place we had been the morning before. But at least we knew what not to do. I was riding my horse Scipio. Angela had ridden him the day before so he was a little ... shall we say ... slow on his feet. Yesterday had been a hard day, but he had been less than gentlemanly with Angela ... so today we were going to have a day of training and clarification. However, after the two and a half hour trot to the back side of the mountain I wondered if I was going to be able to do anything with him. So after the kids got the main herd of cows moving back down the ridge I went over another ridge and found a cow down in the valley that needed to be brought up over the hill. I was apprehensive as to whether Scipio could do the job or not, he was walking down the hill like an old man. Well, he got half way down the hill and caught sight of the cow and he took off like a bolt of lightening ... he now had a purpose other than just toting me around on his back. Well, it turns out there were
three cows down there and one was a runner. Scipio stayed on that cow
and was running all over the side of the hill trying to get her cooperation.
The plan was to get the "runner" cow over the hill and then
go back for the other two who would just walk. Have you ever found yourself wanting to be a Group Director, but doing nothing about it? Do you have any downline who are the same way? Well, we are inactive for one of two reasons ...
What is a good purpose and if I don't have one, how do I get it? A purpose would be wanting to get out of a dead end job, purchasing something you can't afford, creating a new lifestyle, having more freedom and time, new home, more community involvement or service time, travel, helping other people with financial freedom ... whatever. How do you create a purpose? A want or idle dream won't do the job ... you have to really want it. If you look at it from the five element perspective, you will promote or create your purpose with your emotions and control the outcome of your purpose with your beliefs. Emotions. How do you create the emotions? If you want a new house, find the house you want, sit in it, dream about it, get excited about having it. If you want a new car, go sit in it. Drive it. Dream about it. Creating positive emotions about your purpose is the same process ... experience it. In some cases you can physically experience it. In other cases, you will have to do it mentally. But make it so real that you can taste it. Get pictures of your purpose where you can see them constantly. Beliefs. Our beliefs guide everything
in our life ... whether our beliefs are true or false. So you need to
determine what beliefs are helping ... and make them stronger. And determine
which false beliefs are stopping you, and work on replacing them with
true beliefs.
False Beliefs to Eliminate
When you truly create a burning purpose ... your life will change in all aspects from a plodding old horse to an exciting run. Try it ... you will never be the same. Well, I've pontificated enough.
I'll talk about the plan tomorrow. Sincerely, Paul Jensen
Take one item you would like
in your life ... and go experience it. If you want a new car, go
drive the one you want. If you want to live in a better area, go
walk around that neighborhood. If you want to have more time to
devote to your community, go visit the organizations you would want to
do it with ... start experiencing today what you want to have tomorrow. |
