IBO Business Training Series
Why
or Do? |
Dear Sunrider Business Leader,
My son Gregory came home from working this summer in Atlanta, GA. We were
sitting under the cherry tree, me lying on or in my hammock, depending
on your point of view, doing physical therapy, and he playing the guitar.
As I was preparing to write my newsletter I asked Gregory, "Son,
if you were a IBO facing the challenges of the world, what would you want
me to write about?"
Gregory, who is reaching the age when dating for the purpose of marriage
is becoming a major topic of interest replied, "Help me understand
girls."
So the advice I gave him was, "Sorry son, after 30 years of marriage
that is a topic I can't help you with. They are as mystifying to me
today as they were when I first realized there were fundamental differences
between girls and boys. However, trying to understand them aside, there
are things you can do that will bring success to the endeavor."
So How Does This Apply to Sunrider?
Sometimes the questions asked me by IBOs who have chosen to build
a Sunrider business center around understanding why something
is the way it seems to be. For example, why can't I attract new distributors?
Why am I not duplicating? Why are customers not buying consistently? Why
does the company make certain decisions? Why is my spouse not supportive?
Or whatever it may be.
To answer the "whys" would be nice if you are sitting under
the cherry tree in a hammock on a sunny afternoon with the time to ponder
these imponderables. However, if you want to kick your business in gear,
the whys are largely irrelevant. The critical question is what do I need
to do? Regardless of why things are the way they are, if you do what it
takes to build your business ... you will be successful.
It is the Right Time to Build
So here we go with the list of things to do:
- Decide you are going to work
the commission system. I received numerous emails from IBOs
who earned their first Break Through Bonus ... we are talking about
amounts in the $5-6,000 up to some significant amounts. Our building
program now has a focus of selling two Starter Packs per month.
This puts you in line to benefit from all of Sunrider's commissions
including the Break Through Bonus as well as the Travel Incentive
Funds. If the focus is on two Starter Packs/month ... DO IT! Brent and
Rilla Spaulding of Rigby, ID decided they were going to do it ... and
the more they did it, the more they found people who wanted to work
with them. The net result was they doubled their normal SV and brought
home a Break Through Bonus just under $6000. Would this result help
your financial world? Then DO IT!
- Treat Sunrider like
a business. If you want a business, treat it like a business.
Every day you get up and determine what you are going to do that will
build your business. I am not talking about refining your goals, organizing
your office, or chatting with upline ... I am talking about doing those
things that will directly bring new business through the door ... metaphorically
speaking ... like making a new friend, introducing Sunrider to a new
person, talking to a customer about how they can more effectively utilize
Sunrider's products, or setting up activities that will help your
downline duplicate.
- Approach on need.
Dr. Chen is right that we need to talk financial opportunity, but if
a person's primary need or interest is a health issue ... address
that first and then talk the financial opportunity. If their interest
is making more money, then talk that first and then talk the products.
The secret is NEED!
- Plug them into the
system. The system is pretty simple actually ...
- You listen for needs.
- You present Sunrider's
opportunity.
- They purchase a Starter Pack.
- They do the same as you have
just showed them in the points above.
- Together participate in Sunrider
activities and events to continue duplication, motivation, and leadership.
Sunrider is a tremendous opportunity.
It is a great time to create a large network of people into a business
that will be the envy of your neighbors, an income that is based on residual
income. Believe me this last three months while recovering from my horse
accident has proven to me ... again ... the importance of residual income.
Sincerely,
Paul Jensen
