Dear Sunrider Business Leader,

My wife and I did not have a TV in our home for the first 13 years of our married life. Then we brought an old video player and monitor from our editing bay at Tape of the Month when we upgraded ... so we could watch movies. (The camel had its nose in the tent.) Then, for a better picture we hooked a TV up to the video, but without an antenna. Then my kids found out that an old coat hanger does wonders as an antenna ... and we had passable TV. Well, one year ago we took the plunge and signed up for Satellite Channels ... all 280 worthless ones and a couple of good ones. (And the camel was firmly in the tent and sprawling all over our living room.)

During this last year I observed that everyone in my family, except Cheryl, watched way too much TV ... myself included. So the day our contract ended ... November 30th ... I cancelled all the channels. We are now back to a TV without an antenna. What a jolt ... and what a change it was for the family.

All of a sudden they were reading more, playing with each other more, practicing their music more ... and fighting less. Last night my 16-year-old daughter came up to me and said, "Dad, thanks for turning the TV off. It is amazing how much time I have now for more important things."

Unplug So You Can Plug In

This caused me to ponder about how many other unimportant things have crept into my life and are keeping me from achieving dreams that have, for the lack of time, been "on hold."

As leaders, let's get our sponsoring up, our duplication going, and make the next twelve months a year of serious growth. We have everything we need! Here are some suggestions to consider as you plan.

Ask yourself what things of less importance are taking up time you could be spending towards breaking to the next rank? Then make your plan.

1. Make a list of those things in your life that you are spending time on, but are less important than breaking a new rank in Sunrider. 
2. What rank do you want to achieve this year? Figure out how to put more time and energy into building your Sunrider business so you can achieve this rank.
3. Do you have the tools from Sunrider to build your business with? If not, get them ordered. Become familiar with them.
4. Are you handing out business cards, Simply the Best brochures, or directing people to your internet replicator site on a daily basis? If not, figure out how you can get this done.
5. Are you plugged into the system? Are you participating in the weekly conference calls, local events, and mentoring every week? If not, get plugged in.
