Are
You Prepared? |
Dear Sunrider Business Leader,
The other day my son Jared and
I were riding down the freeway when my son said, "Wow, that is odd."
He was pointing towards a fellow on a motorcycle who was scooting down
the freeway at 80 mph. The thing that was odd to my son is that his helmet
was hanging over the back rest and his hair was flying in the wind. Jared
summed up his earlier comment by saying, "That helmet's not doing
him any good."
"Yes, son odd ... isn't it." I mused ... not telling him
that my physical therapist (who is helping me with my shoulder) had just
chewed me out because he saw me riding my motorcycle with basically the
same configuration. Actually, that was the only time I did it (I found
myself with a helmet that I couldn't get my head in ... thus ... my
indiscretion).
Now to the point of this story ... as I watched this fellow pulling ahead
of us, barreling along the freeway, it reminded me that sometimes as we
are barreling along the freeway to success in Sunrider, our helmet, that
which protects our ability to succeed, is found sitting on the back rest,
and is not where it should be ... which is on our head. Here are a few
questions to ask yourself so you know if your helmet is on your head ...
My motorcycle hasn't
moved since then without my helmet in place. Is your helmet in place?
Keep in mind that these questions need to be asked and answered constantly
and continually throughout building your business. I ask myself these
questions frequently and am constantly making adjustments.
Let's keep up the good work and make sure our helmets are on.
Sincerely,
Paul Jensen
